Left Rye Patch this morning and drove into Antelope Island, UT, this evening around 7:30pm. We ran over a dog on the highway. That was disturbing. There were 2 of them running across the road where  NDOT was working. We couldn’t get the truck slowed down enough to miss one of them. Just small dogs – pit bulls I think. The NDOT guy said there was a pack of them just a few minutes before. He said there was nothing we could have done to miss them. Too bad their owners didn’t take better care of them.  Fortunately, there wasn’t a car right behind us! We thought we hit 2 of them because of the two thuds we heard. We hit one head on and it dented our bull-bar. But the second thud was the microwave hitting the floor…as we discovered the next time we stopped for a potty break.
