Our first stop as we lolligag through Oregon. We only drove about 3 hours today.  We started in Philomath, on Hwy 34, drove out Hwy 20 to Santiam Jct then north on 22.  What a beautiful site Mt Jefferson was!  The snow covered mountain jumped out above the lush, green forest.  The "plan" was to drive over Breitenbush Rd to the Columbia River Gorge. The plan changed when we read the sign "Road closed due to snow".  Oh well, we only have to back track about 30 miles then it's new road again. So, we checked out these little campgrounds on Detroit Lake. Hoover Campground has paved driveways, flush restrooms and nice shade. We are right on the water with a little cove in front of us where we watch the geese and ducks get out of the wind. This campground is hosted and is $16/night.  Lots of rigs on the road. We wish them well, as they return home from their Memorial Weekend, and get out of our way - tee hee hee
