Ft Nelson to Muncho Lake
The RV Park we stayed in last night in Ft Nelson had a restaurant and bar. Let's just say camping at a bar is "interesting". This is NOT our kind of camping. But we needed a laundry and showers. By the way, a "washroom" is not a laundromat in Canada. A laundromat is a laundromat. We got up early, told everyone who asked us about the road closure that it would be open in another hour, and left. :-) I'm stretching that a little bit. One lady asked and I'm not sure she understood that I meant the road closure was way up the road and it should be open by the time she got there. Oh well, we got to Muncho Lake by noon. What a GORGEOUS lake! If you've ever been to Bear Lake on the Utah/Idaho border, it's the same turquois color as Muncho Lake. No cell signal or internet here - maybe we'll stay a week? :-> All the literature says there are stone sheep all over the place. We haven't seen any. We saw one moose and lots of moose droppings...even in our campsite. We found a great site where we backed up right to the lake. I told Don it was cheating when he didn't even have to walk to go fishing. "yeah, yeah, yeah - bring me another water, would ya?" Boating etiquette leaves a lot to be desired in Canada. We noticed it on Charlie Lake. There was a guy fishing in a float tube and 2 ski boats nearly ran him over. There is no wakeless speed limit close to shore or swimming areas. Muncho Lake is no different. They speed close to shore and sometimes yell, "sorry!", IF they see a fisherman. Usually they are just oblivious. Having trouble sleeping - must find way to darken windows - will try foil.
